We begin the 1960s Gallery with a collection of photographs taken by Keith Gingell during the World Cup Final week in 1966. You can read Keith’s accompanying holiday tale here.

This unfortunate boat had suffered a major fire on Oulton Broad in 1966.
This and the following five pictures were submitted by Chris Marchant and were taken during family holidays in the early 1960s. This is Malthouse Broad in 1961, with St Helen’s Church at Ranworth pictured in the background.

The Bure Court Hotel at Wroxham pictured c1969. “Royal Tiger” from Royalls boatyard is moored in front. This is the first of six pictures submitted by Nigel Ayers.
